# Showing organisations what their processes are _actually worth_

LINQ is the Economic Process Modelling (EPM) platform. Most organisations know what their processes cost; almost none know what they are worth. LINQ models your people, systems, actions and information, and shows where each process creates value, destroys it and leaves it on the table, so transformation and AI decisions rest on economic evidence.

## We’re on a mission to _change that_

Transformation fails when it runs on conviction instead of economics.

Most programmes measure what a process costs and how fast it runs, then automate it. But automating a step that destroys value only destroys it faster. Our mission is to close the gap between strategy and execution by showing what every part of a process is worth: its contribution to revenue, cost, risk, option value and information value.

With that economic evidence, leaders can decide which processes to rebuild, which to amplify and which to leave alone, and know where AI will create value before they commit the budget.

## From the information supply chain to _Economic Process Modelling_

1. ### The information supply chain

LINQ started because we saw a problem: businesses were drowning in data but struggling to connect the dots. Founder Neil Calvert saw first-hand how organisations struggled to connect data capture and store business value. In response, he developed the concept of an information supply chain (ISC) to model how data flows through a business, referencing existing content, actions and outcomes to highlight inefficiencies and opportunities.

2. ### A digital twin of the organisation

At a Gartner event, discussions about business transformation resonated with LINQ’s approach. Without realising it at first, we were building a Digital Twin of the Organisation (DTO), a concept that has since become central to our mission.

3. ### 100 days to a working platform

Within 100 days we had a clear vision and a proof of concept. We had turned our idea into a working platform, launching our Minimum Lovable Product (MLP). Early adopters provided critical feedback, helping refine the system.

4. ### Model, envision, test

Over time, LINQ has evolved to help organisations model their current state, envision future possibilities and test assumptions before making costly changes.

5. ### Economic Process Modelling

Developed with Doug Laney, the analyst who created Infonomics, EPM is the next step: if information has economic value, so do the processes that create, use and discard it. LINQ Version 3 builds EPM into every model, scoring each part of a process for what it contributes, not just what it costs.

## The people _behind LINQ_

Behind LINQ is a team with backgrounds in data analysis, business transformation, economics and technology. We are problem-solvers and collaborators, committed to helping organisations see what the way they work is really worth, and to change it with confidence.
