Swimlane Views
Having upgraded yFiles – our graphing engine – we have finally been able to easily deliver the swimlane view many users have been asking for. We are providing 2 options; swimlane by system, or swimlane by role.
This new view can be found under the ModelType button in the Toolbar
Simply select the view you would like to see, and the model will be laid out in swimlanes according to your choice. It is worth noting that the swimlane width can be altered as can the swimlane order. Simply hover over the role/system swimlane name to see the controls for resizing and moving swimlanes.
It is worth noting that swimlanes are best laid out using the Left to Right view direction.
Temporal Model
Our new temporal tool lets you ‘run’ your model.
Open the dialogue from the toolbar, set model minutes per second, and hit Start. Based on your model action frequency and duration settings, LINQ will show you where bottlenecks exist in your process.
You can alter inputs and role capacity to understand the impacts of a changing workload or team makeup.
