Your next change needs an ROI. Learn how to prove it

Leaders want proof, not hope or guesses. Spend half a day with people who quantify the impact of change in time, cost and capacity, and leave ready to make your own case. Online 11-12 November.

LINQ customers, partners and the LINQ team come together for the first time, to show what happens when you put value, not just activity, at the centre of your transformation work.

Over two free half days you'll see the newest capabilities in LINQ, including Economic Process Modelling (EPM) and AI, hear directly from people using LINQ to solve real problems and pick up modelling skills you can use the same week, whatever seat you sit in.

Two half-day sessions Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 November 2026 — a free, fully virtual event across two half days, covering New Zealand and US time zones.

Two half days, built around outcomes

Why Attend

For business analysts and practitioners

  • Build your first model live, from a blank screen to real insight, in the Introduction to Modelling session
  • Pick up the tips and tricks that make modelling faster and more fun
  • Learn how to turn your analysis into influence, so the insight you've worked hard for actually gets heard by the people who fund the work
  • See exactly how Economic Process Modelling inputs and outputs work inside LINQ, whether you're the one capturing the data or presenting the results
  • Hear how an analyst with almost no LINQ experience got up to speed fast enough to support live client delivery, proof that this is genuinely quick to learn

For leaders, PMOs and transformation sponsors

  • Get the full economic case for transformation from Doug Laney, the person who wrote the book on measuring what information is worth
  • Get a rare, defence-informed briefing on cognitive warfare and information security from Wing Commander Caro Pezaro, Deputy Director Information Warfare at NZDF, a genuinely unique voice for a business conference
  • See how LINQ is being used to work out the actual ROI of AI initiatives, before you commit budget on conviction alone
  • Hear real numbers from real transformations, including how LINQ was used to expose the weaknesses in a business intelligence (BI) investment and fix a live overtime problem at the Department of Corrections, and how it's being used to deliver better outcomes at Discount Tire through robotic process automation (RPA)
  • Get a decision framework for which processes are worth rebuilding, which to amplify, and which to leave alone
A first look at what's next

What's New: EPM and AI, Live in LINQ

This year's conference doubles as a first look at where LINQ is heading, not just where it's been.

Economic Process Modelling, inside the platform

See how EPM data goes into your model and comes straight back out as insight. The 'What is Economic Process Modelling and how does it work?' session with Ian Clarke and Antony Williams shows exactly how to capture the value metrics and see the results, whether you're the one entering the data or the one using it to make a call.

AI, without the guesswork

Before you commit a dollar to an AI initiative, you can model it first. Build a model of what changes when AI comes into a process, compare it against how things work today, and use that comparison to build a roadmap grounded in strategy and ROI rather than hype. John Baigent from Attune Consulting shows how this plays out in practice in his session on using LINQ to define the ROI of AI.

See it live

Bottlenecks, highlighted in real time

Across both days you'll see live demonstrations of LINQ mapping how people, systems and information connect end to end.

The heat highlights exactly where work backs up, so you can see cost, time and capacity pressure at a glance, and model the fix before you commit.

Our Keynote Presenters

Doug Laney

Doug Laney

Data, Analytics and AI advisor, researcher and author

Doug Laney is the person who put a name to the value of information. He originated infonomics, wrote the bestselling book of the same name, and followed it up with Data Juice: 101 Real-World Stories of How Organisations Are Squeezing Value from Available Data Assets. He's a three-time Gartner thought leadership award winner, a World Economic Forum advisor, a Forbes contributing author, and co-chairs the annual MIT Chief Data Officer Symposium.

Introducing Economic Process Modelling: The Marriage of Metrics and Transformation

Most organisations still measure their processes on cost alone, which is why so many transformation programmes, AI included, run on conviction rather than economics. Doug's keynote introduces Economic Process Modelling (EPM), a way of reading every process as an asset factory that produces revenue, reduces risk, creates options and generates information, not just cost.

Why attend: measure what a process costs, and you can run it. Establish what it's worth, and you can decide whether it should exist at all, be amplified, or be torn out. This talk is the economic foundation for everything else on the agenda.

Caro Pezaro

Caro Pezaro

Wing Commander, Deputy Director Information Warfare, Information Command, NZDF

Carolyn Pezaro is Deputy Director Information Warfare within Information Command, New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), and a Registered Psychologist with more than 20 years' service. She's held operational and leadership roles across deployments to Timor-Leste, Solomon Islands, Syria and Israel, including service as a United Nations Military Observer.

Competing for Cognition: Cognitive Warfare, Information Threats, and Building Cognitive Security

As technology, social media and AI reshape the information environment, the human mind has become a contested space. Caro explores how state and non-state actors work to influence perception and decision-making, and what that means for organisations trying to build genuine cognitive security.

Why attend: a rare, defence-informed take on information as both an asset and a risk, from someone who deals with it at a national level.

Alison Holt

Alison Holt

e-Judiciary Adviser to the Chief Justice of Papua New Guinea, Longitude 174 Limited

Alison Holt is an internationally recognised expert in data governance, with a career spanning director, general manager, research fellow and virtual CIO roles. She's authored three books on IT and data governance and has spent the last eight years as e-Judiciary Adviser to the Chief Justice of Papua New Guinea.

Mapping the Constitution, Modelling the Courts: A Conversation on Digital Justice

In this interview session, Alison talks through the realities of building digital justice systems: what it takes to design services for one of the most complex, highest-stakes sectors there is, why a digital twin matters for planning, and how her team came to map the Constitution of Papua New Guinea itself.

Why attend: a genuine case study in applying digital and process thinking to an environment where the stakes could not be higher, and proof these ideas hold up well beyond the corporate world.
