How LINQ collects, uses and protects your personal information

This website (www.thinklikelinq.com) is owned and operated by LINQ2 Ltd (referred to as “we”, “our” and “us” in this Privacy Policy). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles (IPPs).
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, the third parties we share it with, and your rights. We may update it from time to time, and the current version is always published on our website.
Most of the personal information we collect is provided by you directly, for example when you fill out a contact form, subscribe to our newsletter, apply for our early adopter programme, download our material, or register to use the LINQ platform. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, and the organisation you work for.
We also collect limited technical information when you visit our website, including your IP address and website usage data, which we use for security and to understand how our website is used.
We use your personal information to:
• Provide and support the LINQ platform and respond to your enquiries.
• Send you newsletters, product updates and other communications you have requested, or that relate to our products and services.
• Manage our relationship with customers, partners, and prospects through our customer relationship management (CRM) system.
• Create and manage advertising audiences so we can reach relevant people with information about LINQ (see Section 3).
• Improve our website and services and maintain the security of our systems.
We do not sell your personal information.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our business. We share personal information with them only for the purposes described below.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We share contact data with Meta to generate advertising audiences and for advertising purposes. This means your contact details may be used to show or tailor LINQ advertising to you or to people with similar characteristics on Meta’s platforms.
LinkedIn
We share contact data with LinkedIn to generate advertising audiences and for advertising purposes, in the same way as described for Meta above.
HubSpot
HubSpot is our CRM. It stores contact and organisation information and is used to send marketing emails and other communications to our customers, partners, and prospects.
Google
We use Google Analytics to monitor and understand how our website is used. This helps us improve our website and services.
Some of our service providers are located outside New Zealand and store and process personal information offshore. In particular, contact data shared with Meta and LinkedIn leaves New Zealand and is held overseas. Our CRM (HubSpot) and Google Analytics are also operated by providers based outside New Zealand.
As required by Information Privacy Principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020, we want you to be aware that when your personal information is disclosed to these overseas providers, it may not be subject to the same protections as those provided under the New Zealand Privacy Act. By providing your information to us and using our website and services, you acknowledge that your contact data may be transferred to and stored by these providers overseas for the purposes described in this policy.
We take all reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure and to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Access is restricted to those who need it for our business purposes, and our personnel are required to keep your information confidential. Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect information in transit, and we hold your information only for as long as we need it.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used and allow us to advertise LINQ to people who may find it relevant.
We use:
Google Analytics – to understand how our website is used, which pages people visit and how they arrive.
Google Tag Manager – to manage the tools listed here.
Meta Pixel – to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show LINQ advertising to people who have visited our website.
LinkedIn Insight Tag – to measure the performance of our LinkedIn advertising and to show LINQ advertising to people who have visited our website.
HubSpot – to recognise returning visitors and connect website activity to our CRM records.
Microsoft Clarity – to record how people move through and interact with the pages of our website, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. This helps us find and fix problems with our website. Clarity is configured to mask text entered into forms.
These tools involve information about your visit being sent to Google, Meta, LinkedIn, HubSpot and Microsoft, who are based outside New Zealand as described in Section 4.
Your choices. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On. You can control how Meta and LinkedIn use your information for advertising through the ad settings in your Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn account. If you would like us to remove you from our advertising audiences, contact our Privacy Officer using the details in section 9 and we will do so.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it. If you would like to access or correct your information, or unsubscribe from our communications, please contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We will respond within 20 working days. In limited circumstances we may decline a request, in which case we will explain our reasons.
Our website may contain links to other websites. These sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website before providing your personal information.
